Quick Lick 2045
Welcome to the Quick Licks series! These guitar lessons are meant to give you some really fun and exciting licks to play and jam on so you can expand your lick repertoire.
This lick is a little technical and will certainly “WoW” your listeners. I learned it from John Petrucci so you know it’s gonna be good!
Here’s Quick Lick #2045
Backing Track
Chillin In C# Minor ▶ custom player
Here’s a super smooth track that is perfect for soloing with full 7 note scales on.. Or use your pentatonics. It’s in C# Minor so start your minor scale at the 9th fret of the E string

Thanks Mike,
I followed the video lesson, making thru it for about 15-20 minutes. Not sure where I’ll use it yet. I still have a lot to learn and a short time to learn it, so I know that I’ll eventually find a place for it by a C# Minor.
Today, Chasing the Tone: I ran the Gibson Les Paul into the Daneletro Pride of Texas OD, into a TC Eletronics Flashback X-4 with Slapback, into the Fender Superchamp X-2 set on “65 DeluxeTM with heavy Reverb. Whatever, seems to work for the mood and time.
